In December of 1985 Chris Porter produced sixty copies of a book that contained a selection of his poems called 'The Progress of a Modern Day Pilgrim on the Road of Life'.
It was a collection of thoughts, feelings and prose on his attitudes at the time towards religion, ethics and morals.
After receiving some positive feedback he then decided to compile another book based on what are still the strongest motivating forces that have guided him through his life and accompanied his since the age of sixteen - those of 'Love and Friendship'.
This compilation is based on his thoughts regarding love, friendship and relationships, building on the original book that was created back in the 1980's.
He hopes you will enjoy this now extended collection and that some of the meanings resonate with your life and your own experiences.
 
In 2016 I invited Chris into the studio to produce an album from a selection of the poems/writings from the Love and Friendship Chris book.
Chris choose which words he wanted to read and I composed music to support the words as a background soundscape. 
This publication, released in 2024, contains the 7 track CD album and this updated version of the book contains extra poems and writings from the author, that are written about 'Love and Friendship'.
